Non-Destructive Digging, also called Hydro Excavation makes use of high-pressure water and vacuum to safely excavate soil that is found around underground utilities. Whilst traditional excavation still has its role in construction, many people are now understanding the benefits of using Non-Destructive Digging on their projects. This method uses high pressure water to clear away dirt and debris from around existing pipes and services with a much lower risk of causing damage to underground utilities. As the water removes the dirt a vacuum sucks the debris away making for easy disposal and a cleaner work-site. Repairing the site upon completion of work is also much faster and easier than with mechanical excavation which results in more efficient project turn arounds and less disruption to the community.
